Why Los Angeles Homeowners Choose ES Windows Construction
We’re Mason Remodeling Co Los Angeles, an independent construction firm providing Es Windows repair in Los Angeles, including installation, replacement, and repair across Los Angeles County. We’re not a factory dealer or an authorized service center. What we are is a crew that has pulled apart, rebuilt, and reinstalled hundreds of ES Windows units in real Los Angeles homes from Pacific Palisades sea air to Valley heat. That hands-on experience means we know which ES models fail, why they fail here specifically, and whether a $40 roller swap saves you from a $9,000 tear-out. If you’ve got an ES6000 slider that’s binding or an ES1000 picture window fogged between the panes, call (213) 632-5711 and we’ll tell you straight what you’re looking at.
Why Trust Mason Remodeling Co Los Angeles for Your ES Windows Construction?

ES Windows builds a genuinely strong product line. The ES7000 multi-slide system especially is one of the better-engineered large-format door systems on the market. But every window and door lives or dies by its installation and its environment. A perfectly machined stainless roller track still corrodes when Pacific Palisades salt mist settles on it every night. A factory-sealed insulated glass unit still fails prematurely when a Valley summer bakes it past 140 degrees on the southwest wall. Knowing the product isn’t enough. You need to know the product in Los Angeles specifically.
That’s where we earn our keep. Isaac Pruett, our owner, trained in construction technology at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has spent nearly two decades on residential and light commercial jobs across LA County. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley watching his uncle rebuild houses on Roscoe Boulevard, and he brought that same curiosity to every ES window he’s serviced since. Our technicians don’t learn ES Windows from a brochure. They learn it from the worn rollers and failed seals they pull out of real doors in Echo Park, Sherman Oaks, and the Palisades. We know which ES components wear first, which aftermarket parts actually hold up, and when a “repair” is just delaying a replacement you should do now.
One other thing worth saying plainly. We are not affiliated with or authorized by ES Windows. That’s not a weakness. It means we’re free to recommend the fix that serves your home and your budget, not a repair dictated by a brand playbook. If an OEM part is the right call, we order it. If a marine-grade aftermarket roller kit outperforms it for a beach house, we’ll tell you that too.

Common ES Windows Construction Problems We Fix in Los Angeles
Every window brand has its patterns. Here are the ES Windows failures we see most often in Los Angeles, with the real causes behind them.
- Binding and misalignment on ES7000 Multi-Slide Door panels. These are heavy doors, often 8 to 12 feet per panel. Over years of daily use, the carriage rollers wear flat on one side and the panel starts dragging or jamming. Near the coast, the problem compounds: salt in the air settles on the stainless track, and combined with the humidity, it creates a corrosion film that seizes the rollers. We regularly machine out pitted track sections and rebuild the roller assemblies rather than condemning a $9,000 door.
- Fogged insulated glass units (IGUs) on ES1000 Fixed and ES3000 Casement windows. This shows up as condensation trapped between the panes or a chalky mineral haze on the interior glass surface. The argon or krypton gas has leaked out through a failed edge seal, and humid Los Angeles air has worked its way in. Coastal homes get it faster because salt accelerates seal degradation. In the Valley, intense sun bakes the sealant until it cracks. Once the seal fails, the glass package needs replacement. It cannot be “cleared.”
- Seized or damaged multipoint locking hardware on ES7000 doors. The ES7000 uses a multipoint lock that runs rods up and down the door panel into the frame. Salt air corrosion near the beach fouls the gearbox and lock rods. You’ll notice the handle turns but doesn’t engage, or the door won’t lock at all. Inland, the failure is usually mechanical wear or impact damage from a door that was forced. We stock and source both OEM and aftermarket lock gearboxes and rod assemblies for these doors.
- Warped or sagging frames on large ES1000 fixed windows. Los Angeles has a lot of older homes with settling foundations. Hillside neighborhoods like Echo Park and Silver Lake are notorious for it. A large fixed window installed into a wall that has shifted even a quarter inch puts stress on the frame. Over time the frame twists, the glass stresses, and you get cracked corner welds or a seal failure along the bottom edge. We assess the full wall before touching the window. Swapping the glass into a twisted frame is throwing money away.
- Worn weatherstripping and air leaks on ES6000 Series Sliding Patio Doors. The ES6000 is a workhorse, but its nylon and vinyl weatherstripping degrades under LA sun exposure. South-facing doors in the Valley especially see the strip shrink, crack, and pull out of the track. You’ll feel a draft or see daylight through a hairline gap even when the door is closed. This is one of the cheapest and most effective ES repairs we do. New OEM-grade weatherstripping restores the lockup and the thermal seal.
ES Windows Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

When we service ES Windows, we start by identifying whether the failing part is OEM or aftermarket compatible. For rollers, we spec factory-original ES roller kits when lead times allow. They’re well-built and the carriage dimensions are exact. But we’ve also installed high-grade aftermarket roller assemblies that meet or exceed the original spec when ES parts are backordered, which happens more often than you’d think. Same story with multipoint lock gearboxes and weatherstripping. The aftermarket has caught up. We test fit everything before we leave the shop, and we don’t cut corners with cheap die-cast copies that fail in a year.
The repair-versus-replace conversation is straightforward. If the rollers are worn and the track is salvageable, you repair. If the IGU seal has failed, you replace the glass package. If the frame itself is twisted, water-damaged, or structurally compromised, you replace the whole sash or the whole door. We won’t sell you a new window when a $40 roller swap restores smooth one-handed operation. We’ll also tell you when a repair is a band-aid on a wound that needs surgery. Call (213) 632-5711 if you want an honest read. Estimates are free.
Our ES Windows Service Process – Step by Step
- 1
Diagnosis. Before any work starts, we inspect the unit in place. We check the rollers, track, locking hardware, and glass seal. On multi-slide doors, we lift each panel off its track to inspect the carriage and the bottom rail. We take photos and walk you through exactly what’s failed and why. You get a written price before any work starts, every time.
- 2
Repair or replacement. We order the parts we need, whether that’s ES factory-original rollers, an aftermarket lock gearbox, or a custom-sized insulated glass unit for a fogged window. For panel removals on ES7000 doors, we bring the right lifting equipment and protect your flooring. No shortcuts.
- 3
Testing and adjustment. After the install, we cycle the door or window repeatedly. On ES6000 and ES7000 sliders, that means each panel is lifted, the rollers are set to correct height, and the lock points are aligned. On casement windows, we adjust the crank operator so it engages cleanly without binding. We test for air leaks and water intrusion.
- 4
Warranty and follow-up. Every completed project is covered by a written guarantee with clearly stated terms, including a 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the repair or installation fails within a year, we return at no charge and make it right. You know who’s coming, what it costs, and what’s guaranteed before we ever set foot on your property.

AfterES Windows Products We Service & Install in Los Angeles
We work across the ES Windows product lines commonly installed in Southern California homes. The ES6000 Series Sliding Patio Door appears most often in mid-century and newer builds we service in the flats and Es Windows in Van Nuys and the Valley. The ES7000 Multi-Slide Door System is the heavy-duty wall of glass we see in hillside homes and coastal properties from Malibu to Palos Verdes. The ES1000 Fixed and Picture Windows show up in living rooms and stairwells, often oversized. The ES3000 Casement and Awning windows are common in kitchen and bath applications. We can service, adjust, repair, and replace all of them, including drop-in glass package swaps for sealed unit failures.
We Also Service These Brands
ES Windows is a specialty of ours, but every Los Angeles home has more than one system in it. We also install and service kitchen and bath work from KraftMaid and Kohler, along with Cambria and Silestone surface installations. When your window project is part of a larger kitchen remodel, our General Contractor services mean one written estimate covers the whole scope.
FAQs – ES Windows Construction Service in Los Angeles

Is Mason Remodeling Co Los Angeles authorized by ES Windows?
No. We’re an independent construction firm that services, repairs, and installs ES Windows products based on years of hands-on experience in Los Angeles homes. We are not affiliated with or authorized by ES Windows, and we don’t represent ourselves as a factory service provider. Being independent means our recommendations about repair versus replacement are based on your home and your budget, not a manufacturer’s playbook.
Do you use genuine ES Windows/OEM parts?
When factory-original ES rollers, locks, and weatherstripping are available within a reasonable lead time, we order OEM. When ES parts are backordered, we substitute high-grade aftermarket equivalents that meet or exceed original specifications. We test fit everything in our shop before it reaches your door, and we’ll tell you which parts are going into your window before the work starts.
How long does ES Windows service take?
Most roller swaps, weatherstripping replacements, and lock hardware repairs are done the same day we diagnose them, once parts are in hand. Insulated glass unit replacements for fogged ES1000 or ES3000 windows typically require 2 to 3 weeks for the custom glass package to be fabricated and delivered. Multi-slide ES7000 track repairs that involve machining or welding usually take 1 to 2 days on site. We’ll give you a written timeline with the estimate. For an exact window on your project, call (213) 632-5711.
What ES Windows models and series do you cover?
We service the ES1000 Fixed and Picture Window line, the ES3000 Casement and Awning line, the ES6000 Series Sliding Patio Door, and the ES7000 Multi-Slide Door System. That covers rollers, tracks, locks, weatherstripping, glass replacements, and full sash or door replacements. If you’ve got an older ES unit without a visible model plate, send us a photo and we’ll identify it.
Will service void my ES Windows warranty?
We can’t speak for ES Windows’s warranty department, and any warranty decision is theirs to make. What we can tell you is that our workmanship is covered by our own written guarantee, including a 365-Day Done Right Promise. If a repair fails within a year of completion, we return at no charge and make it right. A written price and a written guarantee are standard on every job we do, never an upgrade.
How much does ES Windows construction cost in Los Angeles?
For window replacement across Los Angeles, most projects land between $5,310 and $17,700 depending on unit size, frame material, and access. Impact-rated window installation runs $9,440 to $29,500 for homes in wildfire or coastal wind zones. A single glass package swap on a fogged ES1000 unit typically falls at the lower end of that replacement range. Here’s the pricing we quote today:
| Service | Typical Los Angeles Price Range |
|---|---|
| Window Replacement | $5,310 – $17,700 |
| Impact Window Installation | $9,440 – $29,500 |
Can you replace just the glass in my ES6000 sliding door, or does the whole sash need to be swapped?
In most cases, the glass package can be replaced without swapping the entire sash. The ES6000 sash is designed to accept a drop-in insulated glass unit, and we regularly order custom-sized IGUs for exactly this repair. The whole sash only needs replacement when the frame itself is bent, corroded through, or structurally damaged. We’ll show you the difference before you spend a dollar. Call (213) 632-5711 for a free estimate.
My ES7000 multi-slide door has white oxidation and pitting on the bottom track near the beach. Is that repairable?
Yes, in most cases. White oxidation and pitting on the stainless track is salt and moisture corrosion. If the pitting is shallow, we can clean and protect the track surface. If it’s deep enough to catch the rollers, we machine out the affected section and weld in a marine-grade replacement track. We’ve done this repair on Pacific Palisades and Malibu homes where the door slides one-handed afterward. If the frame around the track is also compromised, replacement may be the better call.
Why does my ES3000 casement window crank get harder to turn every year?
That’s almost always the operator mechanism, not the window itself. The ES3000 casement operator uses a worm gear and linkage that wears and collects dust and salt grime over time. Near the coast, salt accelerates the wear. In the Valley, fine dust gets into the gear housing. Lubrication can buy time, but once the gear teeth are worn, the fix is a new operator assembly. We stock and install both OEM and aftermarket operators for the ES3000 line.
I have an ES1000 fixed picture window with internal fog between the panes. Can it be cleared without replacing the whole window?
No. Fog between the panes means the insulated glass unit’s edge seal has failed and the desiccant inside the spacer is saturated. The argon gas is gone and moisture is inside. There’s no way to clear it from the outside. The fix is replacing the glass package, which keeps your existing ES1000 frame and trim intact. It’s a standard repair for us, and much less expensive than a full window replacement. Call (213) 632-5711 and we’ll give you an exact number.
Do you have experience removing and reinstalling ES Windows during a kitchen remodel without damaging the frames?
Yes. We’ve pulled and reset ES windows during full kitchen remodels in neighborhoods all over Los Angeles. We protect the frames with padded supports, label every screw and shim location, and store the sash vertically in a clean, dry area while the wall work happens. When the remodel is done, we reinstall, level, and re-seal the window, then test it for operation and water intrusion. The window goes back in as solid as the day it was built.
Book Your ES Windows Service in Los Angeles, CA
We’ve fixed every ES Windows failure mode Los Angeles can throw at a house, from salt-corroded multi-slide tracks in Pacific Palisades to solar-baked IGUs in the Valley. You deserve to know who’s coming, what it costs, and what’s guaranteed before the work starts. Our crew was called to a Pacific Palisades home where a 12-foot ES7000 multi-slide door had seized shut two weeks before a family wedding. We discovered salt-corrosion had fused the bottom stainless steel track to the carriage rollers, so we ordered an aftermarket roller kit, milled out the corroded track section, and welded in a marine-grade replacement. The door now glides one-handed, and we saved that client from a $9,000 replacement. Know who’s coming, know what it costs, know it’s guaranteed, everything else is just noise.
