Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
A full Caesarstone bathroom remodel in Los Angeles typically runs $10,620 to $33,040, which covers demolition, plumbing, waterproofing, Caesarstone vanity tops and shower surfaces, and finish work. We stock Caesarstone-compatible slabs, remnants, and seam kits in our Los Angeles yard, and most remodel projects begin within two weeks of your written estimate. The most common way homeowners find us: a Caesarstone vanity top has chipped at the edge, or the silicone caulk line around a Caesarstone shower surround has darkened and pulled away, letting water creep behind the slab.
Caesarstone is a quartz surface, not a natural stone. That matters for remodeling. Quartz contains roughly 90% crushed stone and 10% resin binder. That resin is what makes Caesarstone dense and non-porous compared to marble, and it’s also what reacts to heat and harsh solvents. If you’re planning to replace a failed part of a Caesarstone bathroom, you need to know which finish line you have before you buy any replacement material, because the colors are not interchangeable across series.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

Caesarstone sells its bathroom surfaces under several finish lines, and each has a different spec. The Classico collection is the oldest and most common in Los Angeles homes built between 2005 and 2015, with a polished finish and color codes like 1141 Pure White and 3100 Jet Black. The Supernatural line has a softer, matte-textured finish that reads more like natural stone. The Outdoors line is UV-stable and rarely fails indoors. The Piatra collection mimics honed limestone. The compatibility gotcha: Supernatural and Piatra slabs are only warrantied by Caesarstone for interior use, and their matte surfaces need a different sealer and cleaner than the polished Classico line. If you have a polished Caesarstone vanity and order a matte remnant to patch a chip, the sheen will never match. You’ll see the patch from across the room.
How to identify yours: look inside the sink cabinet for a manufacturer sticker, or measure the slab thickness with a tape measure at the edge. Caesarstone bathroom vanity tops in Los Angeles are usually 2 cm or 3 cm thick. 2 cm is standard for pre-fabricated vanities; 3 cm allows an eased edge without a plywood buildup underneath. If your edge profile is square and flat, it’s 3 cm. If it has a thin glued lip, it’s likely a 2 cm slab on a built-up edge. That distinction changes your fabrication cost by roughly 15 to 20 percent.
We install OEM Caesarstone when the client insists on exact color match from current production, and we also work with quality aftermarket quartz that matches older, discontinued Caesarstone colors like the pre-2018 5131 Frosty Carrina. Mason Remodeling Co Los Angeles is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with Caesarstone. If you want the factory warranty intact, we’ll quote you the current Caesarstone slab through an authorized distributor. If you want a close visual match at 30 to 40 percent less, we’ll bring you two or three remnants to look at in your own bathroom light.

Signs Your Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Edge chip at the sink bowl or corner. Caesarstone corners near a sink are thin at the cutout point, and dropped soap dispensers or a falling razor handle concentrate force there. We see this most on vanity tops in Los Angeles with undermount sinks, where the rim cut is only 1 to 2 inches wide. The fix is either an edge fill with color-matched quartz resin, or replacing the top if the chip interrupts the seam.
- Dark staining at the seam where two slabs meet. The seam filler is not Caesarstone; it’s a tinted epoxy mixed by the fabricator. When the original installer used a standard white epoxy on a cream or gray slab, the seam absorbs bathroom humidity and turns brown at the edges. This is repairable without replacing the top, but it needs to be routed out and re-filled, not painted over.
- Shower surround caulk peeling or lifting away from the slab. Quartz expands and contracts differently than the cement board or studs behind it. In Los Angeles, our uninsulated exterior bathroom walls swing surface temperature by 40 degrees between a cold January morning and an August afternoon. That movement shears the bond on silicone over a few years, and water gets behind the Caesarstone into the wall cavity. This is the most common failure we see in Sherman Oaks and Encino bathrooms built in the 2010s.
- Dull white haze or cloudy patches that won’t clean off. This isn’t a cleaning problem; it’s an etch or a chemical burn. Quartz, including Caesarstone, will dull permanently if someone used a scouring powder, bleach spray, or acidic tub cleaner on it. The haze is the resin binder oxidizing at the surface. It can be re-polished by a fabricator with diamond pads, but it won’t come out with dish soap.
- Hairline crack running from the faucet hole to the front edge. Caesarstone slabs will crack when the vanity cabinet settles, or when the original installer didn’t shim the top level before the plumbing was tightened. Once a crack starts at a faucet cutout, it follows the thinnest point of the slab. A crack can be stabilized with a color-matched acrylic injection, but it will always catch the light at certain angles, and a full replacement is the only way to make it invisible.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Pricing in Los Angeles breaks down by scope. A Caesarstone vanity top replacement alone, including slab, fabrication, sink remount, and plumbing reconnection, runs $2,360 to $7,670 depending on size and slab thickness. A full bathroom remodel with Caesarstone vanities, shower surrounds, curb, and niches falls in the $10,620 to $33,040 range. A smaller guest bath running a single 48-inch vanity and a standard tub surround usually lands between $5,900 and $14,160.
What drives the range: the slab color (Supernatural and custom-order colors run higher than Classico stock), whether we’re matching an existing slab or installing all new surfaces, and whether the shower valve or drain needs relocation. Nothing moves unless you want it to. We deliver a written price before any work starts, and that price lists the slab, fabrication, demolition, plumbing, waterproofing, and finish work as individual line items. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the installation from the completion date, and if any caulk joint, seam, or slab movement fails within that year, we come back at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
Caesarstone itself can’t be safely cut or shaped with homeowner tools. The slab dust is silica, which is a lung hazard when dry-cut, and a standard circular saw will chip the edge badly. You can’t sand a quartz top down the way you would a wood counter. What you can safely do is remove and re-caulk the seam between the Caesarstone and the wall, as long as you cut out the old silicone with a plastic razor and clean the joint with denatured alcohol before applying a color-matched, mold-resistant silicone. If the slab itself is cracked, chipped, or de-bonded from the cabinet, that’s a fabrication-level repair, not a caulk job.
The danger with quartz is less about sudden injury and more about water damage hiding behind a surface that looks fine. A failed silicone joint behind a Caesarstone shower wall will quietly feed mold into the studs for a year or more, and by the time the tile outside shows it, you’re replacing framing. If you can see water staining or smell anything musty near the shower, call us at (213) 632-5711 and we’ll assess it honestly.
FAQs

Caesarstone quartz will last 20 to 25 years indoors if the seams stay sealed and nobody cleans it with bleach or abrasive powders. In Los Angeles, the weak point isn’t the slab; it’s the caulk joints and seam epoxy that fail inside 5 to 10 years from thermal movement and bathroom humidity. Call (213) 632-5711 for a written quote on seam rework or replacement.
A chip can usually be filled with color-matched quartz resin, and if the chip is smaller than a dime you’ll stop noticing it within a week. Larger chips across a seam or adjacent to a faucet cutout are more likely to crack later, and a new top is the better long-term answer. We’ll tell you which one applies to your slab, and the estimate is free.
Most Caesarstone bathroom remodels in Los Angeles take 2 to 4 weeks from demo to final caulk, with slab fabrication running about 5 to 7 business days of that window. Vanity top replacement alone is usually a 1-day job once the slab is ready. We’ll put the full schedule in writing before you sign anything.
We keep Classico and select Supernatural remnants in our Los Angeles yard and can often match your color the same week. If you need a current-production slab, we source it through authorized Caesarstone distributors and handle the slab inspection so you don’t end up with a veined lot that doesn’t match what you saw in the showroom. We also stock parts and surfaces for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone bathroom projects.
If your Caesarstone top is chipped, cracked, or leaking at the seam, call us at (213) 632-5711. We’ll send a real person to answer, then schedule an in-home look at no charge. Know who’s coming, know what it costs, know it’s guaranteed. Everything else is just noise.
